Chadwick School
Chadwick School celebrates its 90th Anniversary this year, a grand achievement and a testament to the endurance of a school from humble beginnings. Commander and Mrs. Chadwick began their school in their home in San Pedro when Commander was stationed nearby.
Mrs. Chadwick had a vision beyond her fledgling school and others shared her vision - Frank Vanderlip, Sr. donated the land and the Roessler family supported efforts to finance the original buildings on the empty hills on the east side of the Peninsula.
I was fortunate to attend Chadwick School - a dreamer always staring out the window, my teachers gave me focus, a sense of self determination, and true joy in learning. As the Chadwick alma mater so beautifully states:

"This school so firmly founded in Faith in Childhood's Worth"

Happy 90th Birthday, Chadwick!
